16/06/2007 - The King is back...

BBC have made another aquisition in the quest build a strong squad for next season. It is understood that Andy King has agreed to sign with the BBC this season after his loan spell at Alacante finished last week.

Before his shock move to the Spannish side, King was a regular in the team and it is hoped his return will boast the squad and increase competition for places. When interviewed about his return, King made little comment but was reported to have said..."next season, aye I'm up for it!"

That takes BBC signing tally up to 2, there may be more to follow with manager John Martindale returning shortly from a well earned break...

07/06/2007 - League Meeting

It was the AGM tonight of the churches league and Ive just returned home. I wanted to up-date you all on whats happening about next season.

There are two teams leaving the churches league, Kirkintilloch and Port Glasgow A and also 2 teams joining the league in our division, West Glasgow New Church and West End Vineyard. In total there will remain 40 teams in the 3 divisions. The structure will be kept the same with division one having 12 teams, division 2 - 14 and our division will have 14 teams.

In the first division, Kings Park are the only relegated team and Carluke and Greenbank BB are promoted up. In the 2nd, Lenzie are the only team being relegated and will join us next season and St Silas, Hopehall and Kilsyth COG are promoted up from our league. That means next season, our league will consist of the following teams:

Auchenfoyle, CEC2, EK Claremont, Dumbarton, Esrkine Bridge, EK Baptist, Lenzie Union, Houston, Parkhead and Tollcross United, Sherwood Greenlaw, Trinity Possill, West Glasgow New Church, West End Vineyard and the BBC.

Right, that's us up-to-date with all the league news. In seperate news, BBC can exclusively reveal that the signing talks with goalkeeper Alan Hann have been very positive. The BBC transfer team are in close negogiations with Hann and his agent and they hope to secure his services for the club within the next week or so. Its reported to be around £1.25m.

05/06/2007 - Awards 06/07

On Friday night, BBC had our annual awards and BBQ night. We started off at Charles house and from there most of the guys went to the Shed.

Player of the year this year was Charles Neil. He has definately been one of the most consistent players this season and has given his all for the team. Although he has played out of position for most of the season at right wing, he has adapted well and made that position his own. As well as his contribution in midfield, Charles has also added a number of goals which have helped the BBC cause.

Clubman of the year was awarded to Chris Rose. He is out dedicated coach who week in week out, faithfully prepares coaching plans with skills work and teamplays to try and improve our team (Although if the truth be told, we never manage to get the drills!) Outside of the coaching times, Chris has contributed greatly both on and off the park. His attitude to the game is excellent and he is always encouraging and positive. I don't think anyone would agrue that he is worthy of this award.
